Kannar’s DAMFIX range is designed to help conserve and protect the precious resource of water. Agriculture cannot function without a predictable supply of safe water to irrigate and spray crops, water livestock and clean production facilities and equipment. Earth dams are vital structures in storing water for on farms but these often lose water because water due to leaking or seeping out through the floor or walls. DAMFIX Wet and DAMFIX Dry are two innovative polymer applications that allow for reliable sealing of earth dams and in most cases at significantly lower cost than traditional lining systems.

DAMFIX Wet

DAMFIX Wet is smart dam sealer for soil-based dams. The granular polymer is simply spread over the dam surface for it to swell and sink, meshing with soil bed to seal porous areas and stop leaks. NO DRAINING! A fast, efficient, environmentally safe solution for preserving valuable water in leaking earth dams.

DAMFIX Bio

DAMFIX Bio is a liquid suspension of spores and vegetative micro-organisms which are capable of digesting complex proteins, starches, fats, oils, greases, cellulose and vegetable gums. Specific bacterial strains in DAMFIX Bio can also digest laundry detergents. This product contains strains of bacteria which degrade tissue-paper, fats, oils and grease at an accelerated rate. DAMFIX Bio can be used in municipal waste-water treatment works, estate dams, farm dams, oxidation ponds, bio-filters, septic-tanks, pit latrines, grease and fat-traps.

DAMFIX Dry

DAMFIX Dry is used to seal dry earth dams. It is a unique formulation of polymers blended with minerals which are mixed and compacted into the dam floor and walls. The composite mixture of polymers, minerals and soil swell on contact with water creating a dense and robust foundation seal for the dam. DAMFIX Dry is typically applied to seal new earth dams or existing empty dry earth dams in need of repair. Dams sealed with DAMFIX Dry and then filled with water are augmented with a light application of DAMFIX Wet, This is to ensure the integrity the seal in case of any movement if floor during the filling process.
