Kannar’s products are all classed category 5 – the lowest risk toxicity class under GHS. Used as directed, they pose extremely little risk to farmers, workers, people and animals.

Recognizing the crucial role that beneficial insects play in agriculture, our products are designed to applied in a manner to ensure virtually zero impact on insects such as predatory wasps and beetles. By preserving beneficial insect populations, we help maintain natural pest control and support biodiversity.

Animal
Life

Our biological formulations are non-toxic to birds and mammals even when directly ingested. Importantly there is no risk of secondary poisoning i.e. when animals consume insects or plants sprayed with Kannar products. (Pyrethrum will affect cold-blooded animals and fish.)

Kannar Organic Range

Kannars biological crop protection range are all registered under Act 36 of the Department of Forestry and Fisheries and are attested for organic farming by Ecocert in accordance with EU Regulations No 2018/848 and 2021/1165.

Insecticides

Kannar Garlic Repellent 930 (L7147)

Harness the power of natural garlic to repel and disorientate insects to protect your crops. No pre-harvest interval and virtually no risk to beneficial insects when applied as directed.

Kannar Kangar 931 (L7145)

A versatile insecticide and fungicide formulation that combines the benefits of high dose seed oils and garlic. Canola oil smothers small-bodied insects and spider mites in their adult, larval and egg phases to control pest populations quickly and effectively. Garlic repels and disorientates insects flushing them from hiding places that might usually offer protection. 24hr pre-harvest interval and very low risk to Beneficial’s when applied as directed.

Kannar Pygar 932 (L7145)

Pygar 932 offers all the benefits of Kangar 931 with the added action of natural Pyrethrum. Pyrethrum is a potent nerve poison for cold-blooded creatures which acts quickly on insects, resulting a triple action biological that can control small and large bodied insects such as beetles and ball worms.

Kannar Kangroshield 100 (L7630)

Combines the three actions of Garlic, Canola Oil and Pyrethrum but with a far higher dose of Pyrethrum for a primary nerve action insecticide. Kangroshield 100 delivers quick knock down of insects and is applied at far lower rates than our oil focused formulations. This makes it economic to apply and makes it ideal when oil deposits may not be desirable e.g. berry blooms and delicate flower petals.

Fungicides

Kanguard 940 (L7421)

is a contact fungicide based on a combination of 3 natural plant acids. The acids act together to increase the permeability the fungal cell wall, which disrupts the natural functioning of the fungus cell and its eventual destruction. Can be use preventatively or curatively across numerous fungus species and plant types. 24hr pre-harvest interval making it ideal for IPM and close to harvest applications.

Kannar Kangar 931 (L7145)

A fungicide formulation that combines the benefits of high dose seed oils and natural garlic. Canola oil covers and smothers the fungal structures preventing growth and inhibiting the release of spores for fungal propagation. Canola oil also provides a degree protection to foliage against germinating fungal spores. Garlic has recognized antifungal properties, inhibiting spore germination and disrupt fungal cell membranes. The multiple modes of action provided by Canola Oil and Garlic result in a very effective fungicide without the risk of residues or resistance.

Mammal Repellents

Kannar Firesauce

is a mammal repellent designed to safeguard your crops from damage caused by small mammals such as antelope and rodents. With its potent blend of irritants, it effectively repels and deters animals from feeding on treated plants without being toxic. (Note: This product is not yet registered.)
